Janani express

First Janani Express was launched on 10^th July 2008 in Anlabereni and Second Janani Express has been launched in Parjang CHC/block. Both the Express are being managed by an  NGO named VARR under PPP.  Third Janani Express has been launched on 26.02.09 at Hindol CHC by Birida (NGO)  & Fourth Janani Express has been launched on 28.02.09 at Sriramchandrapur CHC by NGO New India

  MAJOR ACHIEVEMENT

Since the Implementation of NRHM in Dhenkanal District in the year 2005, so many excellent results have come to notice in the health sector. To reduce Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) in the district, the scheme is being worked out across the district. Institutional delivery has increased during the operation of JSY under NRHM .

RCH-II / NRHM OBJECTIVE

To reduce Infant Mortality Rate from the present level of 71 /1000 live births to 50/1000 live births by 2010 in the State of Orissa

To reduce Maternal Mortality Rate from the present level of 358/100,000 to 250/100, 000 by 2010 in the State of Orissa.
