Major achievements at a glance during June-2005 to  APRIL-2009

 

 
  • Increase in the ANC Registration.

  • Antennal check up was 93%, 105%, 96% and 103% achieved during 2005-06, 2006-07, 2007-08 and 2008-09 respectively.

  • Increase rate in the institutional delivery. During 2005-06, the number of institutional delivery was 7410 (40%), during 2006-07, it was 10,639 (52.2%) and during 2007-08 the number of institutional delivery was 11860 (68%). The Institutional Delivery Status during 2008-09  is 13323 (81%).

  • During the period 29 of RCH camps were organized in different places of Dhenkanal District.

  • Three ( 3 ) nos of Mega Swasthya Mela were organized during the period.

  • Janani Express has been placed in Four ( 4 ) CHCs for carrying the pregnant women for safe institutional delivery and providing emergency health care to neonates.

  • Prustikar Diwas has been initiated in all blocks for treatment of malnourished children below six year.

  • The District has achieved 6777 (241%) of family planning target during 2007-08  and also achieved 4740 (158%) of Family Planning during 2008-09. The District has stated the popularization of NSV services & achived 41 nos cases during 2008-09.

  • SAB training has been organized at DHH, Dhenkanal, SDH, Kamakshanagar & Hindol covering 06 numbers of AYUSH doctor and 63 numbers of staff nurse.

  • Total 156 numbers of ANM, 69 numbers of H.W(M) and 28 numbers of L.H.V. have been trained under immunization training program.

  • Observation of important health days at District, Block and Sub-centre level with different stakeholders like PRIs and members of GKS.

  • Initiation of different I.E.C methods like Padayatras, Street play, Rally, Health stalls for involvement of different stakeholders in health care programmes.

  • PRI members’ sensitization programme conducted in each block covering 361 PRI representatives with the cooperation of District water & Sanitation mission.

  • Strengthening of public private partnership through the involvement of 12 number of NGOs for various activities like management of PHC, training and sensitization programme, RCH & Health camps, etc.
